I have never seen this kind of butterfly before in my entire life, but this year there were plenty of them in Meran, Italy. Those critters are not easy to get a hold of when their wings are opened up and you can see the inner side. I didn't have an opportunity to catch one open-winged, so I will post this shot here instead. Enjoy
