or the cubs drown. You don't want that do you?

A scene I came up with...now you might ask; when are you going to make a story about these things?
The answer is: no idea...I DID try a few years ago but gave it up

Anyway, the story behind this picture was this:
A lone wolf named Moonlight was out looking for company, but what she found first was not a wolf-pack, but a vixen who had fallen into a river with her two cubs.
The vixen (whom I later named Violet because she needed a name) begged Moonlight to save her children, and Moonlight, being the friendly motherly wolf she is picked up the two fox-cubs and brought them to safety.
She planned to go back and rescue Violet as well, but when she came back to pick her up the vixen had gotten too tired of holding on to the rock anymore and was swept away and drowned.
Moonlight had always dreamed of having pups of her own, and adopted the foxes. The cubs names are Ralph and Whitepaw (if you take a look at the pups I think you can guess which one is which...considering the latter one's name)

The cubs grew up and eventually left their adopted mother mother to start families of their own, and Moonlight joined a wolf-pack.
If you've looked at my other pictures of the wolves and foxes (and wolf-foxes) Ralph is the father of Raila, mate to Red who's the uncle of Blackie, Luna and Fax.
Moonlight had two pups of her own when in the wolf-pack, both of those puppies are shown in my gallery, Cloud and Storm:3 They know nothing of their adopted fox-brothers though
