Description
This is my entry into 's Patches fan art contest. Patches is Tsukiyono-Miyu's web based shoujo manga. And in true shoujo style, there is much romance and drama... and I have been totally sucked in and become a regular reader!
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to enter her contest, and try my hand at another one of her characters. So this is supposed to be the main female character, Mene... however, I'm a little worried I lost my way a bit while drawing this pic. Cause I'm not sure I stayed true enough to character... I dunno, I tried though!!

I randomly did a search for my name... and this drawing popped up! And I have the exact same hair! Maybe the colour's a bit darker brown, but the hair style/length is... the same XD
Now I'm going to take a look at the webcomic...

Awesome stuff as always mate. I really envy how crisp you get your line work. I just can't get the line control (or have the patience) to do that.
Love the short f.stop effect as well. I know I say that every time, but it really does look good and bring the focus into the main character.

Thanks Wes! Heh, I too love the look of the low F stop/camera effect. I use it all the time... so I'm glad to hear that folks are not getting sick of it, and still enjoy the look!! Haha

Also I'm really glad to hear I got Mene right. I'm always worried when I draw another artist's character if I'm properly capturing them or not... so that means a lot to hear it looks like the character from their creator

Well seeing as how I'm a reader of the comic and subscribe to the artist's Deviant Art and thought that this was her drawing at first glance...I would say that you were pretty true to the source material. Ha.

The coors ars very nice, all this peace where she is... cold colors with her reddish hair did well. And nice bunny necklace, too

Heh, sadly the figure's proportions are a little off... too skinny, and her head is a tad big 
I'm glad you liked the colours, I actually borrowed the light blues and red of the hair from one of Tsukiyono-Miyu's own drawings. Light blue seemed to just go with that hair colour so nicely, I had to draw it that way!

I love how clean and perfect your lines are. You use photoshop don't you? We use the same program with probably the same brushes yet I can't hold a candle to your lovely lines. And your backgrounds too~~ very nice usagi!

Well, my original photoshop doc is pretty large (1260 x 2100), then I shrink it way down for DA... so, maybe thats what makes it seem smooth? I dunno, but in my book your line work is pretty damn clean looking too! Honestly, I don't see mine as any tidier/smoother.
