Dilong, was a carnivorous theropod dinosaur that lived during the early cretaceous in Asia, its fossils were found in what is now China, it is part of the "Tyrannosauroidea" superfamily, the same superfamily that contains the Tyrannosaurids and their most primitive relatives, such as Guanlong, Raptorex, Juravenator and Yutyrannus, is part of the "Pantyrannosauria" clade, which contains other Tyrannosauroids not related to Proceratosaurids, it is the oldest of them, believed to have feathers for its body, or proto feathers, which would be common in the first Tyrannosauroids, he was small, being 2 meters long, and it is one more among the long royal lineage of the Tyrannosaurs.
