Love your dragon! Don't be too hard on yourself, you have to make mistakes before you make something perfect right? In the first 20 years of drawing I just made crap after crap after crap, slowly it starts to become less crappy and hopefully in the future you will make something that's far less crappy then what you started with!

Well, yeah, this drawing drove me crazy with all the details I had to make.
Is better my friend will like it, considering how much effort I put on this thing.

Have you ever looked at a pine forest from above? LOL. I'd say the only thing it lacks is just a little randomness. As for the rest, your style is unique and peaceful in line, shading, and flow. It has decent contrast and is just pleasant to look at, with no confusion about what one is looking at anywhere in the piece. While the design of the dam seems a bit...ineffective with that waffly build (it'd have busted before the water was even halfway up unless magic is involved) it does LOOK cool as art.Β
The dragon...details and shading are great. Pose...well, it just takes practice. I suggest doing a bunch of super-fast line sketches of body flow without ever adding flesh or form, to get a better feel of motion. Of course, that is actually a very accurate pose, his wings halfway up or down, capturing the moment of being basically still in the air before motion begins again...but it's not the best choice for that particular piece. I used to do it regularly. Just takes practice.Β
Something tells me you are going to go far if you keep this up.

Well, I tried my best to add some randomness to the cone army forest, but there were so many trees I gave up. I have to admit that the dam is just ridiculous, it seems like a paper sheet that is desperately trying to stem thousand of tons of water.
About the dragon, I have to say that, originally, he was supposed to be on landing on a building. I changed the project but not the dragon. But yeah, I can't deny that poses are always been one of my major difficulties. Sometimes I do quick sketches to learn how to do poses, but meh, I guess I have a lot of more practice to do.
Anyway, I'm really glad you like it. I'm still trying to find my personal style, I hope I'm on the right way. Thanks a lot for the comment and expecially for the constructive criticism, it is the kind of feedback I always appreciate the most.

I LOVE the concept for the castle city in the background. Though everyone would die if that dragon decided to go burn a hole in that dam...

I think it would be a terrible idea even for the dragon's safety.
