A new comparison between two successors to the Star Destroyer line.Resurgent-class Star Destroyer- Built by the First Order to be their new main Star Destroyer. Design to be twice larger than the Imperial-class Star Destroyer it is able to fill the role of a warship and mobile command center with its large interior and numerous weapons. Armaments: 1500 turbolasers and ion cannons, point-defense missile emplacement, and tractor beams. Can house 8000 stormtroopers, 2 wings of First Order TIE/sf, TIE/so, TIE bombers.
Palleon-class Star Destroyer- Built for the Fel Empire in their war against the Galactic Alliance, and later the One Sith. Named in honor of Admiral Gilad Palleon the Imperial commander who was able to rally the Imperial remnants to his command after the Battle of Endor, and make peace with the New Republic. Developed to be a Star Dreadnaught similar to the Super Star Destroyer. Armaments: 50 turbolasers, 50 heavy turbolasers, 40 ion cannons, 30 tractor beams, and 50 proton torpedo launchers. Can carry 48 Predator-class fighters, and 2600 stromtroopers.
