So this is my entry for this week's Thursday Prompt: Readers' Digest as I'm reading HP (like pretty much constantly my whole life), the 4th book, illustrated

So yeah. A DiGiTaL pAiNtInG?! well, a sketch FROM ME?! AFTER ALL THOSE YEARS???! actually since like mmmmm 2 months I've been doing stuff like these almost every day BUT that's a story for another day... If you follow me on Instagram you may already know what's going on (YES this is the sketch I was talking bout). Basically what I was planning to do on the first place was that scene when Draco mocks Harry like
So I kinda started with this and then spent TWO DAYS trying to pull out decent Draco but failed miserably. And then made myself cracked up comic with that scene for my own entertainment. And then decided I will just publish this portrait cause YOU CAN'T STOP ME. And kinda have chosen different quote... I mean he's kinda angsty, stressed out and lowkey irritated dork the whole book, isn't he. And the next one. And the one after that one.
I might, just might one fine day in the distant future actually finish the scene I wanted to do in the first place. Or at least color it, when I feel like my coloring skills are decent enough

Yeah I've been working hard pretty much everyday <3 I always hated hair but I really enjoyed drawing them a lot, it was so fun to make them so messy hehe. More to come sooner or later!

Aw thank you!! I really like cleaning up the lines ^^ AHhaha yeah I kinda can't no to add the blush anymore, as well as a bit reddish tint on hands (I don't think it's much visible here) - as if everybody spent 6 hours in freezing cold Hogsmeade

OMG it looks great! He looks so much like the actor, but stylized.

HE DOES?! OH NOOOOOOO!!! It wasn't my intention at all XD I've been trying to portrait him as I see him in my head, but yeah, both Dan and "my Harry" have big, epic eyebrows xD I portray him with strong jawline and a bit more square chin... big, almond eyes (well you can't really see that on this particular sketch)... not really defined cheekbones... and the scar more in the actual 'real' lightning shape, though it still varies for me 
Still, after so SO many years of not drawing actual portraits I'm doing baby steps

Ooo I like your version of the scar... how it's actually real-lightning shaped instead of the symbol.
And oh, I hear you about how it is, the journey of learning to draw a character just like you see them in your head. I had the same with my characters. You definitely will be able to draw him the way you envision him!

We'll see how it goes, I'm kinda on offense whether I want to do more manga-like style or maybe more semi realism... so each piece I do is completely different style lol. Just yesterday evening finished two more headshots and I doubt you would recognize the same Harry as on this one
I kinda could to post them already, but lowkey want to create a huge illustration out of them 
Ow lucky you! All my drawings that are similar to these are somewhere in my parent's house.. or my mother already thrown them all away. A bit sad cause it would be cool to do a "Draw this again" after all those years

That's great, though! Experimenting with the different styles will not only help you pick which you like, but you learn things from trying out each one, so your end result will look even more amazing!

hhhhh well here he is
ddddd and here's my blonde boy... he is completely different from movies (I think?), I'm actually drawing him all the time, I'm glad my husband is not jealous yet XD when I think of him I think of slim, delicate but pointy, almost femine, like royal or even elvish if that makes sense... light, as in color, with porcelain skin, platinum hair and light grey eyes. Narrow lips and higher cheekbones (I have problem with that as you can see), pointy chin and delicate jawline... I'm still debating on hairstyle, for now I stick to this with short sides and top side swept but I don't know. Eh anyway he's so stylish he can change hairstyle all the time, right? XD
And yeah.. I give them flushed cheeks all the time cause I can't stop myself
ps. and omg I have never showed anybody my Draco yet.

I kinda redraw it [the collar] for the fullbody / knee up and I feel like now it looks a lot better. Don't want to push but I'm just wondering if they look similar to each other or not, eventually
Aww thank you hair are SO SO hard for me every time... well, I kinda want to redraw him now for more realistic face structure but I EHHHHH I can't decide what to do with my life, I have too many ideas and not enough time
That being said I feel like hairstyles are one of the key points you recognize characters by, so I'm not sure if it would be wise to change them... what if he won't be recognizable anymore?.... I definitely have too much thoughts. xD

Hmm...I really don't see what's "wrong" with the drawing...not because I know you, but for real.
Maybe you're not happy with it because it looks "simple", not so full of detail and colored. But many people like such style...yours could count as illustration. It doesn't have to be always fully colored...like those digital game posters.

Dziękuję ślicznie~ dosyć się stresowałam przed wrzuceniem tego na moje dA, szczególnie że minęło 1000 lat odkąd ostatni raz rysowałam coś w tym stylu (można by rzec, wracam do korzeni ;D ) no i to jest coś kompletnie innego niż rzeczy które publikuję na co dzień, więc bardzo BARDZO cieszy mnie każdy przemyślany komentarz <33
