The setting takes place in the real world, but a hundred years ahead into the far future.However, in fan fiction, Overlord the Movie: The Last Guild War of Nazarick, in which the story in mainly focus on resurrected Calca Bessarez as a main protagonist, Karuka Besarezu is known to be her previous form before reincarnation.
To be more precise, Karuka whom the player of the Holy Spirit knew in real world had died many years before the beginning of the YggDrasil period.
With the linkage between the two world, Calca's physical appearance appears to be the same as Karuka Besarezu.
