fantastic. his eye is wild, which is perfect. and the mane is all over, and the muscles well-defined. however, i was looking at his legs, and they're so short! so well drawn, actually, that i thought at first they were proper, but i'm preeeetty sure they're a bit short. but all the same, fabulous capture of vavra.

your work on this is beautiful! i wish you had finished more of it. i feel like i should know where the title is from since i used to read a lot of horse books and anything to do with horses. but maybe i'm way off track.

Oooh nice! Glad you made it a Deviation, you probably hide all sorts of gorgeous work in Scraps. I'll put it this way. If I were lucky enough to have something like this I'd mat it, frame it, hang it in some prominent place where I could enjoy it every day. Probably with several layers of white and maybe one thin layer of graphite colored mat. (I just got my mat cutter! Still waiting for the boards, but yayyy! lol -- now I keep getting matting ideas when I see art I like!)

Lovely pencil work! I love the energy and emotion in it....definitely not something for scraps.

I don't see how this is a borderline scrap. It does not have a very polished feel to it, true, and perhaps that is what you are objecting to, but I think a more polished rendition would ultimately diminish the raw energy and emotion that you seem to be trying to convey here. The rough edges enhance that sense of freedom. I like it. I think this is truly great just as it is. I am glad that you chose to present it as a deviation. Too many of us would have missed it otherwise.

Well, "Strike For Liberty" is a song preformed by Jason Schreiber and Tara Dirst. But It's also a chapter in Anna Sewells 'Black Beauty'. Very nice horse btw.

Yeah I noticed that.. doubt I'll fix it as rubbing it out would most likely ruin it, but I was peeved when I noticed

Wonderful! I like the shading. ^^
I have no idea where the title came from. It sounds very familiar, though. Hm...o_O
