I like this one a lot. I think it is partly the drama of the white lines on black. But the lower layers of white, blue and brown give it extra interest - and of course the fruit (I imagine it is a pear, which is a much more interesting choice than an apple to me..)

A pear does fine to me - it doesn't carry so many ready made connotations than an apple - but everyone may gladly make their own interpretation and see what they feel like to see there.
