Great painting. I think you were inspired by one or two of Aivazovski's paintings, even in composition. Great to see that people that know his work, exist! Congratulations!

The sky is gorgeous. The reflective water... as if you could reach out and touch its wetness. And the ship, the perfect addition. But even without the ship I would find this painting gorgeous. The sun shining through the top wave!

Wonderful translucency on the water! I occasionally try ocean waves with oils, and really struggle with it. You've got the glowing colors down pat! Congrats!

omg they're throwing off ballast already!
I love the lighting, it feels so light and warm but at the same time makes me think of an approaching storm, and the clourds coming from bothe sides to cover the sun just intensify that.
amazing work, as usual.

yeah! haha i love the way the clouds are situated around the sun... lighting is superb as always (: is that a rock on the bottom right of the drawing? and seagulls.... i guess the ship is close to land. you've really managed to capture the vastness of the sea and how powerful it is. good job with the crashing wave. fantastic.
