Apologies for any spoilers, but...the book's been out for over a year now. If remaining unspoiled matters that much to you and you still haven't read it yet...well... Sorry. Not much else I can say.

Most of you might recognize the title, even if you don't recognize the scene, from chapter 36 of 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.' I'm...not quite sure what brought this one on. Usually I tend to avoid HP fan-art; there are just too many intimidating artists in this field! But I was doodling with carmine a few days ago and this sketch just appeared under my hand, as naturally as if it had a right to be there. Who was I to deny the muse?

So it got penciled and inked and scanned and coloured...and then I threw all common sense to the wind and yanked up the saturation of what was originally a pretty decent colouring job and turned it into a nuclear monstrosity... Well, I liked it. Anyone sane doesn't have to agree with me.

The crazy lady casting the Dark Mark is (supposed to be) Bellatrix LaStrange; the lady looking away is Narcissa Malfoy, and the vast masses in the background are random Death Eaters (sans masks). Hagrid and Harry should (I hope) be obvious... and Bane and Grawp should be lurking somewhere in the background...if they haven't wandered off the paper again...
