13 awoke with a start she felt a sharp pain shoot through her arm. She looked down to see her blood seeping through her bandages. She groaned as she realized that the cut on her arm had reopened. It wasn't the pain that bothered her, no she was used to it. It was the fact that she would have to go to the creepy old man to fix up her arm. Lifting herself off of the cold metal floor, she caught sight of a core. Specifically a S.T.O.R.M. monsuno core. She let out a low growl remembering that they were the reason her parents were dead. Unlocking the door of her cage, she jumped down onto the ground and walked to the room she usually saw the old man in. When she opened the door she froze on the spot. Inside the room was the very creature that she has been terrified of for her whole life. The monster responsible for her parents' death. She was about to run when she heard someone yell "Backslash, Shock Shriek!" She didn't have to look into the room to discover whose voice that was. She backed up horrified as images of her parents flashed through her mind. 'It was him. He's the one.' Suddenly feeling very sick to her stomach she, collapsed on the ground. She couldn't believe that the one person she thought she could trust could do something like that.
'I'm breaking out.' She thought as she recovered from her initial shock. Standing up she quietly made her way to the laboratory. She grabbed some phials and needles containing a strange green liquid. Shoving them in her pocket, she looked for any opening to escape. When she found none she picked up a pretty sturdy and good sized piece of equipment and start ramming it against the wall. 'Screw being quiet!' She thought as she rammed it into the wall several times, creating a hole just big enough for her to squeeze through. She threw the equipment onto the ground and hurriedly tried to squeeze through the hole. She hurried when she heard monstrous pounding behind her.
"What is going on!?" Klipse yelled as he entered the room with backslash right behind him. He turned just to catch a glimpse of 13's face as she ran away.
13 ran as fast as she could through the wooded area desperately trying to throw Klipse and his beast off of her trail, but failing. "Backslash, Shock Shriek!" she heard Klipse yell. She didn't have time to react, as she felt a burning pain in her back. She screamed as she collapsed on the ground. She heard Klipse walk over to her and curse as he kicked her body. It took all of her might not to scream.
"She's dead now. She's no use to me now." Klipse said walking away. "Backslash! Return!" Klipse shouted. In a bright flash of red light, the terrifying beast was now contained in a monsuno core. Once 13 was sure Klipse was gone, she attempted to get, but instead fell right back to the ground. She hissed in pain as she hit the ground again. As her vision started go black she reached for one of the phials in her pocket using what strength she had left to open th phial and brought it to her lips pouring the liquid into her mouth. Right before she blacked out she thought ' There is no one I can trust'
