Description This is my version (or more precisely, a cover remix version) of the upcoming Digimon CD.

Basically, I call this new version of upcoming Digimon CD as β€œCover Remix Edition". As we have seen before, this CD cover features the second male casts from Digimon series known as lonewolves or second-in-commands (or more precisely, bishounens). We know that the primary bishounens (Yamato, Ken, Jenrya, Kouji, Tohma) and secondary (Ryou, Ikuto) are featured in such cover. I feel something lacking here: Takeru and Kouichi, along with Xros Wars bishounens, are excluded here (though it is more likely that Xros Wars has no ending themes). That is why I decided to draw the cover remix version of this upcoming Digimon CD.

Right, I also include Takeru and Kouichi in this cover remix version. However, this version excludes their respective digimon partners. Initially, I intended to include Xros Wars bishounens complaining about their absence in this cover, but scrapped it. Also, I planned to draw them (nine characters) in one canvas. However, it was way impossible to include them all by one in one canvas. That was why I drew each character one by one, saved each character portraits in each PSDs, and put them in a background I had prepared before. Because of that, expect for severe anatomy errors and off-proportion sides of the characters.

Dang, I forgot to recheck the layers. Kouji is damn awkward in such pose as his right hand is behind Jenrya. Whereas, in terms of
perspective, his right hand should be visible*facepalm*

Hehehe, great work on remaking this album cover for the fans' sake! Even you had noticed the layer mistake a bit too late.

Well, I had to say that the main intention the original cover was made is to assemble the so-called "lone-wolves" of all of the Digimon series (excluding Xros Wars). Strangely, the idea that male dominance still prevalent in the East (especially in Japan and few Muslim countries) makes this team a bit awkward to those who knew the true attributes of these boys. Hence, I prefer to call these group "The Digimon Bishounens" just because they all are cuties and to some degree, good-looking.

Ironic though that the predecessor to this album cover featured Takeru and Kouichi. They may had been replaced to make Touma and Ikuto joining the group, because they aren't much space to draw the missing two boys, or somehow Toei and Bandai Namco had forgotten that Yamato's little brother and Kouji's twin brother really existed.

Yeah, I think that Kouichi and Ruki should have been in there. I wouldn't call Takeru a lone wolf. Lone wolves are more of those people that prefer to be alone and away from the group. Takeru really doesn't fit that category. He was very much involved with the team. I think he and Daisuke nearly got into a fight once, and that was it. The dynamics between leader and more level headed second in command really wasn't there like it was for Taichi and Yamato or Masaru and Touma.
Jenrya I can sort of see them putting in there because he was reluctant to fight as a team at first in fear of losing Terriermon. Ryo is a bit of an odd one as well. That's why I think Ruki would have been a better fit. Something tells me that they wanted all boys because of sexism. *rolls eyes.*
Kouichi was nervous to be with the team after he was controlled by the evil and darkness. Kouji didn't want anything to do with the other Chosen Children. Those fit perfectly.
For Digimon Savers, I can see it being like it was for Frontier. Touma felt Masaru was always dragging him down and interfering with his plans, thus making him drift away for a bit. Ikuto wanted to be alone after being betrayed be Digimon, and in his eyes, humans as well after frigimon was killed when he was smaller.

Actually, the cover (original and remix edition) does not intend to show the Digimon lonewolves. Instead, it shows the bishounens (pretty boys) of Digimon series. That is why the non-lonewolves casts (Jenrya, Ryou, Kouichi, Ikuto) are included here.

I know that it breaks the proper characterization of the lonewolves, but you have to know that unlike Western countries, Japan still adopts patriarchal point of view. When it comes to the second-in-commands from shounen series, there are always males.

Yeah, that is true. Would be nice if they were nicer to the girls though...
