Description There was a city
By the harbor
With white carnations
And gingko trees.

Upon a ship
One Stranger came
Robed in grey
And sashed in red.

Stepping on the dock
He stripped his steel cloak,
Revealing singing scale
And laughing swords.

Chuckling blades descended
Chorus of cries joined the armor,
Rain fell upon the city
That turned the white carnations red.

One man left
Among the corpses
"Why?", he asked
His single question.

Stranger's voice joined the sabers
Advancing on the single Man.
"I dole mercies to the small."
Man's head fell to join the others.

Stranger's crimson footsteps fading
Within the newly scarlet earth.
Gingko leaves fell a'fluttering,
Joining flies' descent to feed.

This is a really interesting poem... I adore the word choice and the symbolism used here, and I think it's a very cool theme! Great work!
