On behalf of my sister I tried something different. She really wanted a cover picture for her Harry Potter fanfiction, so I made one for her.
The picture shows Pansy Parkinson (Scarlett Byrne) and Hermione Granger (Emma Watson).
Editing Emma's picture was relatively easy, rendering and exposing, that's about it.
Scarlett on the other hand was a different level. The actual picture is pretty bright and in black and white. So I had to colorize it. Something I never did before.
luckily it turned out to be easier than expected. Then I added a little more saturation, a little more shade, and that was the end of this part.
next came the magic wand. Exactly... the magic wand.
Since the wands are very personal in the movies, my sister and I wanted to do exactly the same for Pansy. So i created a magic wand from scratch. Which was actually done pretty quickly.
We quickly had the right idea, and then i just had to make the wand authentic enough.
It was all something different, something I had wanted to try for a while now, I had fun designing this picture, just like the wand.
So i thank my sister for giving me this opportunity, this encouragement, and for allowing me to add a piece to her fanfiction.
