Tiny spark in my soul,No, the dim light of hope reborn;
A hint of a sunrise behind storm clouds,
Or a snowflake of glitter, flirting with color,
Opalescent in the pale moonlight,
Bold and punishing in the noonday sun.
But my heart remains safely in shadows,
No light or love to spark its health and growth,
A dying tangle of pain and hurt,
Unable to be replanted in the harsh glow of hope.
