i edited the colour initially because i don't like it buck. but i was told to keep my own colour thanks

first of all : nice color key.
the 3 parts of the eye make this photo really special :
-the yellow part, near to the light source
-the blue part build by the reflection
-and finally the red part.
quite fascinating

A lot of people fail at selective colours. It's usually a bad composition or a bad idea.
You did pretty well on this one. Just that there are a little bluish parts just below the iris.
