Yeah, I've been getting away from doing any fan appreciation art since highschool. Now that I'm three years into college people kinda expect real original work. But it's still fun to do little homages to things I love. I've got a professional website going up in a few weeks where I can put my original art portfolio up. But I think I'll still upload all my fanarts stuffs up to dA...The audience here has always really dug it more than my original stuff.

Seriously this came out really nicely. Awesome texture and good highs and lows. Yes, I know the lighting was already there on the reference, but that doesnt mean its easy to understand it in order to reproduce it. Good job
I hate painting... mainly cause I suck at it!! I should practice more. I used paint yesterday, but it was hardly painting... I was just smacking the brush soaked with paint to recreate blood spatter as a background for the AVP sketchcards im working on... oh crap... ssshhhhh, forget I said that! I dont want people to know what my cards will look like in advance, heehee.
Oh, btw, my roommate actually works at the 3D studio where they animated the film parts of Halo 3. Film parts?? shoot I cant remember the actual term, but im sure you get what i mean. She didnt actually work on it herself... but shes mega cool simply by association!
