Description I was reading NY Times' obituary of Mitchell Feigenbaum ( www.nytimes.com/2019/07/18/sci…) The last paragraph said: "In the last decade, Dr. Feigenbaum was fascinated by anamorphic art — images that appear three-dimensional when reflected off a cylindrical mirror. He wrote a 238-page manuscript, “Reflections on a Tube,” about how what one sees is influenced not only by the physics of optics but also by the peculiarities of the human vision system. Even though the book has been almost finished for a decade, Dr. Feigenbaum continued to tinker with it. Friends say they will now finally publish it." It reminded me of picture I took in Medellin's Parque Explora few weeks ago:  . Being a geek I am, I immediately wanted to figure out how it is done. So here is a Da Vinci's drawing processed in Photoshop to create anamorphic image - the circle on the ground. Add the mirror cylinder, throw in some HDRI for environment - et voilà !
