Dementios is, so to speak, the most frightning of the 1st wave monsters, and that applies in multiple ways.

Created from raining 'stardust,' as Horas Comet fragments have come to be called, falling over the Amazon, at first Dementios was just one of many monsters to arise from the flora and fauna of the greatest ecological hotpot on the planet. As things go, the creatures fought each other to the death, until a few could be found left standing.

Dementios was one of the earliest prominant victors. Armed with the urge to feast and the ability to reproduce hermaphroditically, it quickly swarmed over the jungle in an oozing march of death. The Wildlife fell quickly enough, and the humans, once bitten by the young, were rendered helpless as they writhed on the ground, insanely babbling and foaming at the mouth. This beast and it's kin were terrors unlike anything ever seen.

As food gradually became scarce, the hundreds of young, each now the length of at least a stretch limo, were forced to devour one another. Soon, it seemed there was no life in this disgusting demesne of death formerly called the Amazon.

Until one day, when one of the young spotted some small morsels in a boat on the river. It didn't matter what they were, just so long as they could be eaten. But what it did not expect was the massive electric shock it suffered from an ancient crocodilian challenger new to the scene.

The Dementios "Mother", now aware of the large kaiju morsel, crawled out of the jungle to meet her next meal, only to find herself lying defeated, near death and too paralyzed to do anything to defend itself from the encroaching scavengers. That is, until an odd winged form arose over the canopy, eager to give this eldritch mess a chance to rise again. . .

And here we meet the first kaiju Ragido fights, the giant mother of all leeches Dementios. As far as design goes, it's changed little since the idea first hit me. Color wise, I had fun working on it, but I'm not 100% on sticking with it. I think next time I'll go more along the lines of a dark navy blue. And that about does it, creepy, ain't it?

Heh, a little nod to the "Mother of all Monsters" I see.

All and all I like her...um, it, whatever.

A rather interesting and new kaiju, while worms do get some giant monsters, leechs on the other hand get almost none. Good to see they finally have a few.

'It' would apply best here, given the confusion of having male and female sex organs.

Thanks, and yes, leeches don't get much love.

When I did my research on various species of interest for the universe, leeches surprised me quite a bit. While most people can only identify a leech once it's sucking them, turns out that only a few of the total species suck blood. Many, actually, are predators. Seeing those facts, I was sold.

That is a freaky and unique kaiju par per course. Super leech from hell. I like the bioluminescent spots and such all over it.
