Fugulodon

Fugulodon, one of the definitely weirder monsters the first wave of starchild kaiju brought out. You may wonder what Mel is doing, not being the one to talk about this while still being the one to see the most of it. Well, after reading my files he finds that I'm more "capable" and thus wants me to write for him. I am beginning to wonder how long that will last.

Conversations with that red giant Sheymir reveal that the comet's crash resulted in a fragmentation of it's core "conciousness." And, that the comet pieces, millions all, began an organic, "interface" with the life of planet earth. At first, tampering with DNA only yielded larger, slightly tampered versions of the source species, gradually getting more complex in appearance and physiology. Fugulodon is the current shining star among those creatures.

Though DNA study reveals the species of origin to be a puffer fish, it looks more like a turtle, but that's not even close to the DNA represented. In fact, these studies show that latent, ancient aspects of it's makeup were trudged up and brought to the surface. Thus, the facial structure greatly resembles the long extinct Dunkleosteus, perhaps one of the combat capable fish ever to exist. Though, Fugu's aquatic abilities are still unknown.

Another interesting technique is the venom breath. A toxic tonic of water vapor and puffer fish venom taken to an extreme level, it can be wielded as a mist like substance (making getting close to it impossible) or spraying it out in a focused liquid stream. This makes the normally awkward fighting monster a deadly combatant, one that was keeping the salamander Gobendra at a stalemate until Ragido and Ronis arrived.

Since then, Fugu has fought alongside Ragido numerous times, in campaigns both aquatic and terrestrial, a deadly combatant with deadly venom and a deadlier bite.

given the long tail, if the thing is 75 m long, i highly doubt it is 40 high in this rate of proportion. has to be much lower imho.

Very cool monster, and his origin makes him even more crazy.

See, now this is why I am so fond of your art style.

It has a sort of comic book feet, but at the same time it isn't, the colors stand out and mesh so well together in this style!

And I haven't forgotten the focus, he is very alien looking, but it's clearly an Earth monster.

And woot for the poison/venom user, not many kaiju fall back on such powers.

Puffer Turtle is win, much more cannot be said. This is a case where green and purple actually work very very well together.
