And after all that...I sized it wrong
This one put me through the wringer
This is the original version of this one , which is posted over at ArtZone. I'm terribly torn between the two, as I created this one first and fell completely in love with her...then DAZ ate it.
I rebuilt it, but even though they're very similar her face is completely different as are some of the textures. I don't know that I wans to post both versions here for print (since they're almost identical), but this one I was able to get back and fix the issue that made it crash and save as a temp file on me. I haven't been as lucky with some of my other crashes. Anyway...I may wait a little while and post the other...Or maybe flip it and post it, haha. I don't know. I was just tickled to have this one back (even if I did size the print wrong in the end *sigh*...)

I use a 3D program called DAZ|Studio to create the image. It's like taking each item in the image and placing it where you want it, then flattening the whole piece into one image. Once that's done, I go into photoshop and make adjustments. Most of my work is done this way

D|S ate one of my renders today too. Glad to know it's not just me, but sorry to hear it happened! I'm so new at it, I thought I did something wrong... and I had finally figured out how to add an environment and everything... created a custom pose... Ugh. LOL

Was it the same sort of thing where it saved as a tmp file 
The renders can be SUCH a pain though...they can choke on a reflection map, bump map, anything...and then crash without warning

Yeah, it only had to crash on me ONCE ... now I'm compulsive about saving (several times out of paranoia) before hitting that render button LOL! Unfortunately, I think most of my problem is that I'm still learning what order to do things in... and I sometimes hit the wrong thing, at the wrong time... or try to apply something to the wrong model, etc. Those are the lessons I never forget though LOL.

I save religiously before every test render, but for some reason this one saved as a temp file and I didn't notice until after the render crashed on one of the reflections
