At some point fairly recently, I did this wallpaper for my favorite couple in Animorphs, the book series I followed religiously when I was in that whole pre-teen scene. This is a wallpaper of the scene I still remember, even after all these years...While the Animorphs can transform into any animal they touch, they can only remain in morph for two hours or they're stuck that way forever. Tobias got trapped as a hawk at the beginning of the series by overstaying the limit, and in later books is given the gift of having his animorph abilities returned to him, though now his true form is a hawk, and he can only remain human for two hours at a time. Which leaves him with a decision: Does he leave all the battles behind, and be with the girl he loves? Or does he remain a bird, fighting at her side, and give up on the first time in his life where he could truly be happy? While he dances with her he watches the clock, watching the time click by, trying to make up his mind...
The images come from the TV show, hawk pictures, tiger stripes and clocks found on the net, word art by me.

Two of my favorite characters in Animorphs. Ax was my third which created my trinity. Was pissed with how things turned out.

No, it most definitely was not. Feel like there's more that could be told, but until Applegate decides to do a sequel series, just have to find some good fanfic or use my own personal headcanon.

Definitely. It's a great idea, and there's a lot you can do with it, it's very visual so it'd be great for TV/film, and of course they also made a great book series. I personally would like to see them uplift the ending a bit next time, though.

wow, this is a really great piece. it brings back sooooooooooo many memories of my preteen years to! wow, it was a pretty awesome series, i was disappointed when they cancelled the show early on though.

Be so glad you didn't finish. I can remember sitting on the floor like ten feet from where I am now and just bawling when she died. Anyway, I love the pic! Now I wnt to go watch the show again, just for that part where they dance! They will always be one of the Greatest Couples Ever! and I truly love what you've done with them here.
