Don't laugh! That woman was terrifying. It's a perfectly reasonable safety precaution to hide behind John! :'D

Yikes! It's Irene Adler, the woman who savagely ripped your heart out and tormented you both in life and "death". I hate her guts too John.

Haha, I don't really hate Irene, she's a badass character! And I don't think she ripped Sherlock's heart out, probably because I didn't interpret Sherlock and hers relationship as anything more than mutual intrigue and a power play. :>

She is totally badass, but since she gets in the way of Sherlock and John being together in Sherlock... I don't particularly like her here. I like her interpretation in the Robert Downey Jr. Holmes movies, but I don't like "Ass-Hole Holmes", so that doesn't count.

No she doesn't! Because of her we get to see a clearly jealous John! And I think she helps John understand that not being gay doesn't mean that he can't be in love with Sherlock - the normal rules don't apply with Sherlock - and John seems to use the "I'm not gay" argument as a sort of a shield against the idea (all of this of course assuming that we are watching the show through slash goggles, which we of course are... :'D)

Yes. For all that she infuriates me, I like her better than Moriarty.

I actually like Moriarty more - he's such a fantastic villain because he's so unpredictable and that makes him really frightening! And he's so camp, it's hilarious! :'D

At least she isn't doing it just for the sake of distraction. She actually cares about Sherlock, damn the fact that he's her weakness... just like all the Sherlock fangirls out there.

I don't think she really cares about Sherlock - it's more like she wants to prove that she's cleverer than Sherlock and likes to play with him, and somewhere along the way developing some sort of pseudo-crush for him, the nature of which is quite difficult to explain.

But some of the things she says definitely are very accurate depictions of what's going on in a Sherlock fangirl's head (the cheekbone comment, "I'd have you right here etc.", "Yes you are" when John says he and Sherlock are not a couple... :'D)
