when i was young, i thought i was given away just like the other wynglings.
unwanted.
i'd question myself why my parents abandoned me as i write down in my journal.

but... ever since mama alma gave me a letter,
things changed.

"Dearest Quincy,

You've been probably waiting for this moment. To know everything you need to know before you hatched.
Your mother and I were just poor farmers, but we had a good life together. She made every day full of sunshine even in the darkest of nights and the strongest of storms.

When she told me she was eggbound, everything just became a million times better. I was excited. Unfortunately... she passed away after laying your egg. It was tragic, I was deeply heartbroken. I sold our house just to give her a proper burial and to let her rest peacefully.

I knew I wouldn't be able to raise you now that I was penniless and homeless. I had to give you up to the Nook so you wouldn't suffer this life with me.

But... don't you worry, my child. Everything is alright. Even though I may have lost your mother and our house, I still have everything in the world.
