am just gona ask if you start a grayscale then how would you manage to add color to it ? is grayscale just for guidelines and you still need to paint all over it or with grayscale you can tranform it in to colored ?

Hey PastryJournal, I use gradient maps to add the colour. Starting out in greyscale helps me think about my values and not worry about colour, but I still have to paint on top of the gradient map to get the results I want (I painted quite a bit in the last two steps) Hope this helps!Β

i see so gray is just a guide and not really part of process to add colors? i always wish to do style like this then i still doubt if i can pull something like this
