Well we all know how 049 says that He is curing those with the Great Pestilence (which is presumably the Black Plague)?

Well if one does some research they'll find something interesting.
Back in the fifteenth century, others believed the plague was caught by those who were sinful. And as we know 049 tracks down D-Class who are prisoners who have done bad things in their lives. I believe 049 somehow can detect when someone is full of sin and therefore believes they have the plague. Now when he turns someone into a zombie, the zombie is a creature of instinct and nature, no higher mind to guide it else where. And therefore, free of sin.
So in essence, his cure is effective.

I think teammates meant SCP-173. Also known as "The Sculpture". Either that or another one of the sculpture-related SCPs... Like SCP-173-J! *shrugs*
