Description
This may look like it was an easy wallpaper to make, but it kinda wasn't.
I was bored with my wallpaper the other day and wanted a Depeche Mode related wall...Only, the ones I had in my hardrive already didn't please me enough, so I thought I would make one of my own. I checked the "DM" images I had in stock and re-discovered this amazing scan of Dave, and it was in high resolution as well.
I cropped the image, extended it a little because it wouldn't reach to the bottom otherwise....
Then came a major block...
I tried many different things, none of them I like...I tried to make a grunge wall...didn't come out right..
So, I remembered, Dave now resides in New York, and, in the extras of the "101" dvd, he takes a ride in a car with the people who made "101" mentioning that he loves New York, and one of the filmakers says that NY is "A Beautiful Mess".
I always thought this described Dave very well, so, found a cool looking picture of NY, made it black and white, blurred it, added some foggy-effects and some textures, and voila! I'm finally pleased with the result ^_^.
