Day 12 - Rusalka
Vivian is a type of water spirit/ghost/nymph, specifically a rusalka. The original rusalka was a neutral water spirit who helped give crops moisture. Later they were depicted as evil spirits who died by drowning due to an unhappy marriage or murder due to wedlock. Sometimes they’re just women who died near a body of water and haunted the area until their death was avenged. Still they would lure men to their death via drowning as akin to a mermaid. A lot of lore says they need to have some part of them wet and sometimes have a comb to brush their hair.
I made Viv some years ago with the thought she was drowned before her wedding and her death has yet to be avenged. I guess she’s the watchful eye over the girl’s dorm at Karen’s magic academy. It could change though.
