I had a game just before hopping on dA, and the poor Mercy rez'd me, then I sadly died again seconds later (typical Junkrt fashion), and I had the urge to apologise, and the guys playing as Mercy said "np". I was instantly relieved.

Yeah! I feel like it's somewhat expected now because eventually opponents are waiting for that res to go off before wiping a team out without a res to undo it. But even if someone I res dies, it's ok. If I res a few people into a 6v5 fight and then 4 teammates die, but we win the fight, it's still good!
(Though in my case, probably half the time I feel I wasted res, it's because I chose a bad position/time to res and everyone dies -- 100% my fault lol.) The frustrating thing is when a res could have given my team a chance to win a fight, but maybe someone or two didn't manage to get their skill/ult off in time and the team fight doesn't work out so well and then some teammate has the nerve to seriously ask for another res.

Mostly when people don't understand how to coordinate well with a Mercy. It has gotten a bit better for me though with consistently queuing with people who eventually learn how to coordinate with my play style. There is hope yet! xD

I've got only a few people who know how to play with me around, people who never question when I go Battle Mercy, and are protecting me... and they always ask me what res is at and shit before asking for res- and they don't ask if they know it'd be useless. xD
One of the people I play with has a smurf account. His main hit masters, and his smurf is in bronze. He gives me Mercy tips (He's a Mercy main) and constantly helps me climb the ranks after he wins enough games to get in range with me again. xD A Rein main, a Hanzo/Hog main, and a Reaper/Mercy main are the people I consistently play with. xD

That seems to be a pretty healthy mix of heroes, so that's going in your favor. tbqh, controversial opinion from me: Hanzo is really useful since he can get Mercy to high ground quickly (which is probably the most important thing for me since no one can aim in silver anyway and I can just GA tf out lol)

Soooo People can aim quite well xD i have just gotten used to dodging attacks and fighting back honestly, and with the rein on my team he does everything he can to make sure i'm safe. xD

lol yeah I play in gold/plat games too and I feel like only in plat do people really start punishing a Mercy making too aggressive of a move. Always out of LOS I guess C': But I'm also a scrub, so anything I say you probably already know~

Supposedly you get additional fire for any kills the ressed teammates get right after res, but if they all die immediately, 'on fire' doesn't last long :C

It does help to try to use voice over to communicate in competitive. Things like asking people to back up or when you can't reach them or if you need them peek an edge. (Of course, this assumes people actually listen to a support player's call outs haha)

I've only played on PC, so I'm not sure what the console community is like. Maybe you can try duo-queuing with a friend?

It's a bunch of kids. I would think the PC community is better. ^^ But that's another problem. All my friends are PS4. I don't know anyone with an Xbox.

There's just a wider variety of PC players. I've encountered less younger kids, but the ones I have met are quite charming and very relaxed. Most of the people I talk to I met from communicating well with in competitive games (in low ranks too, might I add). You'll find a few gems eventually!

Wish I was good at talking... ;-; Hopefully I fix that soon. I sit around some kids at school who play Xbox who know I play a lot. Maybe they'll invite me to play sometime... That's unlikely. This is me being shy and almost antisocial.

Never hurts to ask politely and give a reason why. I like to bring it up before a team fight starts up so I have escape routes set up already. Or sometimes I just tell people I'm taking high ground and to fight close to the ledge. But I only really ask in competitive ^_^;;
