Varryn opened his eyes lazily, the darkness of the cavecoming to life with colours as his senses adjusted.
He propped up on his elbows, listening to the sound
of footsteps near the entrance. Someone was giving too
much effort to remain silent. The vampireΒ΄s face lit up with
curiosity. Time to play,maybe?

Oh my, this picture took too long. I guess I spent a total of 30+ hours working on it. My poor laptop could barely support the huge original resolution. In the end, I had about 100 layers and pretty much none of the original background textures left. It felt like I would never finish it. Also, Varryn got a little ...muscle upgrade

Oh, meow! He looks gorgeous, I like the pose especially. Not sure that's the meaning you had in mind, but for me it seems tat someone has just entered the room and caught his attention enough to have him raise slightly from the soft furs to send the intruder an inviting, yet questioning look. 
Great work, totally worth every minute spent on it.

It reminds me of a rug we used to have many years ago which was made from different offcuts of various furs glued onto a hessian backing. It just looks very warm and snuggly
