The dark zone was originally a collection of active lands owned by mann co. itself. When TF2 freaks began to appear, most of these lands are still active even to this day. So when a group of pony called the elements of insanity starts spreading chaos through out mann co. lands, many, many of them was shut down or abandon, resulting in a large inactive areas known as the dark zones. In one such zone, cyberblood and his companion LAAT has a engine problem and have to make landing in arena sawmill, one of the many inactive lands to find parts for their transport. However, the dark zone have been known for hosting dangerous freaks and unknown creatures for a few years and arena sawmill is no exception.
