Description Australian War Memorial, Canberra.
For all those brave ANZACS who have faught for our amazing country.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them.

Submitted in light of Anzac Day on the 25th of April

I did not know about this, but this page and your deviation became a starting point for me learning.
Would you mind if I shared this photo on Google+ if I credit and link to you, and provide information about ANZACS?

This must be a popular shot [link]

I think I know the view you're talking about, looking out from the memorial.. It goes straight up to the parliament house?
hmm, I'll add it to my scraps... [link]

I took them in 08

Haha yeah, must be

I do have one like that, but its not as great because I didnt use my Nikon because it's battery died on the bus on the way to the memorial -.-
The shot I'm thinking of is looking over the memorial towards the tomb of the unknown soldier, over the pool of reflection and looking at some of the names on the wall, its hard to explain, I will have to upload it! haha

I thought it was really beautiful, a sea of red poppies on the walls and the whole memorial is just beautiful, it glows in the sunlight. Im thinking of submitting a photo I took looking out to the memorial, coz its just such a nice place.

Yeah I was in canberra for an English excursion(just to see Richard III) and we stopped there before we left, and my Nikon has run out of juice and the battery died, but I did manage to find a back up luckily haha

Oh!! I'd spazz if that happened!! I have two batteries for that reason. And mum insisted that it would be a good move... Was Richard III good? A play?

Yeah Shakespeare. It was pretty good, but the rest of the excursion was so much more fun haha
I'm thinking of getting an extra battery but there is only one photography store in my area and its not got that much and its closing down soon -.-

If you can,try eBay. That's where I got mine and it's perfectly fine. We only have electronic shop and one camera shop in the city, which is an hour+ away.
