Kethani Meets Acer:

Kethani has just gotten dressed for the day and was getting her things together for going out into town. 'It will be a nice little change to go out today. Might find some cool guitar stuff while I'm at it.' She thought to herself with a grin slowly growing on her face. Her current guitar that she had been playing a lot was a new Gibson SG 3 Guitar. She loved the guitar since it had gold pickups on it and it is fairly new compared to a few other ones that she has. She needed some things to clean it up with anyways and some new strings since she broke two of them playing it a few nights ago in the middle of town for some money. She checked her hair over quickly in the mirror after slinging her side bag over her head and on her shoulder, and then she headed out the door digging for her mp3 player on the way.

By the time Kethani got to the end of the stairs she had her headphones in her ears, and music going loudly. Today was kind of a different day for her so she went with listening to Powerman 5000 for a while. It was still kind of early so she went into the coffee shop to get herself a small cappuccino to sort of treat herself for the successful breaking a few strings. She figured that happening was like the guitars way of complimenting her on playing it but also a way of yelling to her for playing it to much. She chuckled at the thought of it then walked in the coffee shop.

Right after walking in she headed straight to the cash register and ordered her french vanilla cappuccino with whipped cream, caramel on top of that and a small stick of chocolate in the side. She looked over and seen a man sitting at table near by and seen he had a band T-shirt to Lacuna Coil on. She grinned and took out on of her headphones wrapping it in her necklace.

Kethani asked the man politely, "Is this seat taken by chance?"
He looked at her and about fell out of his chair since he was so into listening to his own music. He took his headphones off his ears, turned off his iPod and gestured for her to sit down. She did so laughing at him.

"Did I catch you off guard? Sorry. I have a bad tendency to do that to people." She looked at his shirt again. "Nice shirt there. Good band. I'm quite partial to Heaven's A Lie."

The man cleared his throat then offered out his hand to her across the table. "Umm.. Well my name is Acer. Pleasure to meet you."

Kethani shook his hand and gave him a smile, "My name is Kethani. Nice to meet you too." She pointed to his shirt and then the employee of the coffee shop brought her her order. She handed the employee the money for her drink and then went back to Acer.

Acer seen her point to his shirt and then he sat up in his chair straight. "Oh. Yes, Lacuna Coil is a good band. Heaven's A Lie is a good song but I like their song Closer and 1.19 due to easier guitar work to pick up." He noticed her smile and couldn't help but blush a little. 'I think I need to come here more often.' He gave her a somewhat nervous smile back.

When Acer got up this morning he got ready for the day at a slower pace for some reason. He looked at his weights and decided to leave them be this morning. He really did not want to smell bad and sit in a public place like that for a long time. He grabbed his side bag with various metal band patches all over it and decided to head to the coffee shop for a bit of a change. His Lacuna Coil T-shirt seemed to bring him good luck along with his combat boots. He thought his dark blue jeans made him look kind of emo but his pants were skin tight like they all seemed to like to wear so he figured it was alright.

Kethani's got wider at hearing his statement and she leaned over the table a bit not even really paying attention full to what she was doing because she was excited. "Do you play guitar?" Her face went from a well educated young woman to a quick hyper teenager with a musician fixation.

Acer chuckled at Kethani's sudden change then he smiled at her. "I play bass more often then the regular electric guitar but I like the sound of both. I am not very good at it but I do still try from time to time."

Kethani looked down to see what she was doing and then sat back down in her chair. She had almost forgot about her drink she ordered so she started eating the whipped cream off the top in between every few words. "Sorry about that.. I play any kind of guitar actually. I don't pick up a acoustic very often though. I just recently got myself a new guitar a few weeks ago and have been basically obsessed with it."

Acer waves his hand lightly in front of him, "Don't worry about it. That was actually kind of cute if I may say so." He gave her a slightly bigger smile and then went through his bag for a pen and paper.

She blinked for a few moments at his comment and then she finally managed to respond with, "You really thought so?.. Most guys walk away from me once I do something like that." She looked down at her cappuccino that had almost all the whipped cream gone, half the chocolate stick melted, and a little bit of caramel that was on the whipped cream going into the drink. She took a drink of her cappuccino and watched Acer trying to figure out what he was doing.

Acer found his pen and paper after a few minutes. He set it on the table and wrote down his address and phone number. He ripped out the paper and handed it to her. "I'm sorry to hear that but I really would not mind seeing you again so here is my information. Feel free to call or stop by. If I am not home then check here."

She blushed slightly looking at his handwriting as what he had basically just done started to hit her past all the caffeine starting to kick in. She felt her ears and face start to get warm so she shook her head and sighed. 'Can't get all worked up over something little like this.' She thought to herself before taking his pen. She wrote down her information on the bottom half of the paper, ripped it off and then handed it to him. "Even exchange." She smiled and then looked at her watch. "Oh! I'm sorry but I have to get going. I have to get a few things for my place before it gets to late." She stood up and bowed to his quickly before running out of the coffee shop.

After getting a few steps out the door she realized she forgot his information. She went back in the shop grabbing the paper and shoving it in her bag. She gave him a nervous smile and a wave before running back out. As soon as Kethani got down to the end of the street she sighed. "Well that was unexpected... Okay! On to getting things I need before sun down!" With that she took off to do what she needed to.

Acer laughed as she left the coffee shop after grabbing his information. "Wow.. Caffeine really does affect some people differently." He had a big smile on his face as he got his things and the paper with her information. He folded it up and put it in his pocket. He waved to the cashier before heading out and started to head back to his apartment. "Hopefully things won't crash and burn like what seems to be more often."
