Description This shot was taken by one of the Thosamling nuns, Lobsang Khandro. I love the balance of this photo, from the stone-stacked stupa on the left, against the shadowing range that highlights the main peak. And that gorgeous peerless sky! Venerable Lobsang Khandro did a wonderful job with this one. I hope you all enjoy this as much as we did! (PS - see those little grey tents on the left? That's where we stayed overnight. In Ladakh, there are campsites of tents set up along these rural roads. Up here, this is as close as you get to a motel!)

I do really like that this image isn't as busy a the other where the one in the red robe is standing on the mineral formation, as incredibly attractive as that photo is. Beautiful minimalism seems harder to find and frame. This is so relaxing! And what a beautiful place you've been to.
