Hi, sorry for the late response! What trouble are you having? You should start the row with a chain 2, then hdc into the 2nd ch from the hook. Then you should hdc across the row until the last stitch, where you should inc hdc. At the end you should have 21 stitches. From row 6 through 10 you should be alternating increasing at the beginning of the row, or the end.

I assume you're at the part where you're making the back of the neck.
rndd 38: sc 12, leave remaining stitches unworked, do not ch 1, turn (12)
So it's like when you're crocheting in rows, except instead of the chaining when you turn at the end of a row, you just turn and start the next tow in the stitch you've currently got your hook in. It makes it a bit tighter .

I was just curious as to what color you used for the main body and what kind of wire you used. I had a friend ask me to make a dragonite for them and I can't find the right color.
Awesome pattern btw

Well I only buy red heart super saver, and this was a gold color they carry. Sorry I don't remember the specific name, I tear off the labels once I get my skeins home. As fore wire, this was my first attempt at wiring something and I used some I believe 14 gauge wire. I would recommend a floral wire, perhaps somewhere between 18-20 gauge.

I love the pattern, and I was planning to make one of these, but I'm having some trouble with the head. Your instructions for the head, on round 1, say that you end up with 12 stitches to work with, but no matter how I interpret your instructions, I only end up with 6. What am I missing? It may also help to see what part of the head you start with in that pattern. I'm desperate to get this finished. D:

Okay, I got that the backs of the stitches were being crocheted into...I guess what tripped me up was that I'm not sure whether you mean the backs of the stitches just worked or the other side of the chain, and how the slip stitch works into that...does the slip stitch just round the corner rather than pull the whole thing into a loop?

By the backs of the stitches I do mean the back of the chain. Thank you for this feed back. Let me know if you have any more difficulty and I will see what I can clarify.
