Ren from the Tiger's Curse series. No reference was used except the covers of the first two books for the tiger's face and features. Other than that, I just drew him the way I saw him in my mind.Ren & Tiger Saga belong to Colleen Houck

I've enjoyed reading them over the past couple years. The tiger/Indian aspect is pretty unique.

I actually thought of that right after I did this, and started on it, but it wasn't turning out right. I just couldn't see Kishan in my head as easily as I could Ren. From the time I first read Tiger's Curse, I've had a very clear mental image of Ren. Kishan is kind of hazy, though, so drawing him realistically isn't as easy. If I ever do get the right image, I will definitely do the drawing.
