Russian Roulette is derived from the game Russian Roulette. She was known for pulling dangerous stunts and it’s a nickname given to her by her friends. Elixir is a common nickname when she is being spoken to by older members of the Justice League.

She has big almond shaped eyes coloured emerald green naturally surrounded by dark lashes. She has very light freckles over her cheeks and nose. She has flawless alabaster coloured skin that is very delicately tanned and an athletic gymnast’s body. She has an velvety english accent, that she loves more than anything else about her. She has a weight of 158lbs, most of which is muscle but she is also quite thin. Caroline has a few light freckles across her cheeks and nose.

Caroline is agile and faster than most girls are in two inch heels. Hope can move quickly without being seen and often sneaks up on people by accident. She has a few minor scar but nothing to bad, a couple of scratches on her knees from tripping over, a few minor scars on the pads of her fingers, layer white scars on her knuckles from constant work outs and beat ups while on the job as well as smooth scars around her neck from when her father attacked her when she was seven years old. Personality: Caroline is quick on her feet and doesn’t trust easy. She rebellious and a little naughty, she usually isn’t used to anybody showing her comfort, compassion or love. She is also very smart and got almost straight A's when she was in high school, even though she usually didn't do her homework but had great ways of getting out of doing it. A few teachers were afraid of her, but many were annoyed by her and hated when she'd just come barging into the classroom, loud as all hell. Caroline is sarcastic and manipulative and doesn’t care for the consequences. She knows what she wants and whatever she wants, she gets. No matter what it will cost her. With a hard exterior, Caroline Cross is the kind of girl who can kick some ass. She has a natural vivid imagination and is mainly insomniatic from crazed nightmares, but has an unforgiving love for horror movies.

Caroline is the kind of girl that can sit through a horror movie yelling at the screen and then get annoyed when the character dies. She argumentative and refuses to back down from an argument not matter who she's fighting. Caroline has a lot of unnecessary information rolling around inside her head. Hope doesn‘t care for consequences, though she will willing hand over someone else to keep herself alive, like she’s said before “Best you die, than I.” Caroline tries to keep her cool at most times and shut out all emotions, but as they always fight their way back in and she’ll sometimes lets them through, even just for a moment to break down to the girl she is inside.

Caroline is dark, quick as a fox and doesn’t take to the rules; but then again why should she? She hasn’t done it for over thirteen years, why start now. Normal: Her hair fades to a light shade of blue, her eyes turn blood red, her skin turns violet, she wears a red midriff top, a black pair of bootleg jeans, black and red all-star converse, a thick black belt with red chequers, a black and silver spiked leather bracelet on her left wrist, a red fingerless glove on her right hand, the two piercing in both of her ear lobes are switched to spiked silver studs. The bracelet morphs into a red wrist crossbow at will.
Stealth: Her hair and eyes stay in the red and blue form while her skin remains the violet colour, but outfit fades to a dark shade of grey, the glove grows longer to above her elbows and gains fingers, the bracelet morphs into a full sleeve, the cross bow over the top.
Winter: Elixir’s looks stay the same but her top and pants join together and turn white as a midriff furry jacket appears over the top along with the bracelet and glove morphing longer, the glove to before her elbow and the bracelet into a full sleeve with the cross bow on the top. A pair of glasses appear to allow her vision through snow.

Background
Caroline was born in London on the 2nd of November after a surprisingly quick birth. She was a pretty normal baby if you look past the fact that she was born with a magenta cross burgundy hair colour. She grew up pretty normal for the first six years of her life until her father lost his job and started drinking every night. He used to beat Caroline and her siblings as well as their mother. When Caroline turned seven, her father attacked her with a steel rope which cut into her throat creating scars; after she was taken care of, her mother took her and her siblings and ran away from Caroline’s father. A few years later, Caroline’s mother, Alicia, sued her ex-husband for every penny he owns. Unknown to her mother, her father had a rich background and after his parents finding out about what he had done they disowned their son and supported Hope and the rest of her family. Caroline slowly became rich and by the age of ten, she was richer than most kids were.

By the age of twelve, Caroline had unlocked how to use both sides of her brain and got smarter everyday. Her mother was proud of how her children had turned out after they left James. Caroline had a talent for writing, drawing and acrobatics as well as a hidden talent for hacking into cable networks school records from her laptop. Even though their family moved around a lot, it never really mattered to Hope. She was usually training herself and her powers or working on some new family masterpiece. By the end of that year, Adelind, the sister born before her, had left. Adelind and Caroline had shared a room from a young age and when Adelind left; there was only an empty bed left and Adelind’s old ‘Coraline’ book written by Neil Gaiman.

But, as always, happiness didn’t last. On Caroline’s thirteenth birthday, Alicia was taking them on a road trip to Vermont; but along the way a drunk driver driving an SUV crashed into Alicia’s Chevy impala. Only three of the seven in the crash survive, Caroline, her brother, Dylan, and the drunk driver. Her mother and eldest siblings died instantly, but Dylan was left in a critical condition and has been in a coma for the last two years. Adelind didn’t show up for their family’s funeral and Caroline didn’t see her until a few days before Caroline’s fourteenth birthday.

Caroline had become Roulette by this time and Adelind had become Hecate. One night when Caroline had come across a robbery from Queen Industries, she chased down the two villains. Soon coming face to face with a domino mask and a black and red cat mask, Caroline immediately knew who she was dealing with. Cheshire and Hecate. That was the night Caroline had also met Artemis. The had run into each other once or twice before but had never found out who each other was. Adelind had of course stolen a few of Caroline’s smoke bombs and set them off as soon as Roulette had appeared. After a few seconds of stumbling around blindly in the smoke, Roulette ran into Artemis, the two falling over each other instantly. Caroline wasn’t pleased with the fact that Artemis had gotten in her way and had let Cheshire and Hecate get away. Artemis and Roulette then got into a pretty heated fight about this and Artemis accidentally mentioned that she was related to Cheshire. Roulette seemed to feel Artemis’ pain and apologised.

Caroline's hate for the Joker and Harlequin appeared when she was in contact with the Birds of Prey. The Birds of Prey were a team that weren't on neither side, or so Caroline thought. The Birds had a darker way of getting their information from people and the people they gave to the police may not have been in the best condition. The Birds were a lot darker that Caroline had first thought; the leader was a dark-skinned fire dancer who went by the name Magma(Breana Napier/Kerr) who later went by Jester, the others were a young telepath called Vertigo(Isabella'Issy' Cameron), a thunder and lightning conductor named Zeus(Zach Hollywood), a male martian named Black Hole(Zeno), a female speedster called the Hornet(Morgan Harris) and an Atlantean called Tsunami(Aquila Sha'lain).

Magma lead the team down dark paths and often came to Roulette when they needed inside jobs. Caroline always thought she was help out friends and didn't think they would deceive her the way they did. During one of their many robberies, the Joker and Harlequin burst in through the ceiling. Caroline of course tried to keep the jewels and everything away from them until Magma and the rest of the team fired at her. Magma later revealed that she was the daughter of the Joker. Caroline had always been a petty thief, stealing small amounts of money and at other times small jewels, nothing that couldn't be replaced. Russian Roulette never really showed who's side she was one, but never wondered far onto the dark side.

Roulette had run into Red Arrow time and time again, witty banter from both sides always insured. She slowly grew a crush on him after he saved her from the Joker at a young age. She would have been about fourteen at the time, he had just turned sixteen.

Caroline lives in Gotham City, though Caroline lives more out to the edge of the city in a two story house where she lives on her own. The house isn't as large like a manor but still quite pretty when you’re inside. There’s a pool in the back yard and the top half of the second floor is basically all Caroline’s room. One of the many book cases in her library is actually a secret stair case that leads down to a large underground room where Caroline‘s keeps all of her hacking equipment and her souvenirs from past battles and her old ‘Daughter of Fate’ costume, nobody by Caroline knows about this.
