would she? hmm i thought confessor magic was the exception to mord-sith, like its too epic for anything to affect it. I'm sure Zedd said that in the books

lol well logically Cara should have made the Kahlan's-a-danger-to-him connection already i mean if thy get "carried away" there gos his soul.

So any fight would be totally justified

Haha, I can so see Kahlan doing that if they ever got into a fight.

I was extremely happy when I found the book series in a library, I'm currently reading 'Naked Empire' and am looking to buy the series.

Keep up the good work

lol better would be better, though the end of soul of fire was almost good enough to excuse the rest of it.

but im a little angry at Richard for just going "sod ya then" and abandoning the whole world to be raped and butchered.

lol thanks, we all know Kahlan could totally take her

I am, I found "Wizard's first rule" by chance out shopping and when i realised it was the book behind the series I bought it and "Stone of Tears" am half way through SoT now and loving it!!

Some of the best written books I have ever read.

Have you read "Debt of Bones"? Is it worth piking up?

tyger9000 In reply to VampireBait [2009-12-05 22:10:01 +0000 UTC]

"Have you read "Debt of Bones"? Is it worth piking up?" -No, oddly enough I haven't read it yet. I probably should since I've finished the series. If you're getting the series then you might want to pick it up.

"lol thanks, we all know Kahlan could totally take her" -I don't even want to think of such possibilities. Where you are currently in the book series I will have to disagree. Cara is in better shape than Kahlan and I believe a better fighter. But later Kahlan will surpass Cara by leaps and bounds.

The t.v. series portray Cara as some conniving little tramp. You'll find out in the books just what kind of character she really is. She is far removed from the t.v. series Cara. In fact there is no other woman that Kahlan will trust Richard's life to more than Cara. I would love to say more but I don't want to ruin it for you.

I too read the books due to the t.v. series and loved them. Mind you I'm not really a big reading type person, but once I started reading the series I coudln't stop.

Enjoy the series and by the way thanks for the fav on Longing and Anguish.

Your welcome, the fave's are all well deserved.

Kahlan just took on a wizard and a whole army where i am in the book so I'm still pretty impressed by her I love T.V Cara though as a charcter she has so much depth, loads to explore there so I hope they do her justice.

I know they don't have the budget for it but I would kill to see bridgit regan's kahlan doing half the stuff book kahlan does, they're really playing down just how important the mother confessor is in the tv series.

"Kahlan just took on a wizard and a whole army where i am in the book so I'm still pretty impressed by her..." -True very true. However a Mord-Sith can capture a wizard's power and use it against him. And Kahlan fought an much bigger army with a surprise attack with an army of her own and the fact that she was naked atop a warhorse probably made the D'Haran soldiers grab the wrong sword...[ahem].

I grant you I too like how the t.v. Cara character is coming along. She is definitely more sexier on the show than in the book. In the book she is more squared away like a soldier would be.

"I know they don't have the budget for it but I would kill to see bridgit regan's kahlan doing half the stuff book kahlan does, they're really playing down just how important the mother confessor is in the tv series." -I would have to agree, it is not in the budget for Kahlan to be fighting a 50 thousand man army. And you are also correct that they played down the Mother Confessor role in the show. In the episode where she decides Cara's fate in front of that mob and she says that she finds Cara innocent, the mob actually rebelled. In the book the Mother Confessor's word is law; she rules over all of the Mid-lands; therefore they shouldn't have even lifted a finger against her.
