“This may quite possibly be the most boring event I have had the misfortune of attending, in my life. Really Sebastian, how long do we have to stay here?” Ciel slumped down in the open top carriage and sulked.

“Until the tour is over young master. It's very important people see your face, especially people of high class. Trust me master, it will help promote your company, greatly.” Despite Ciel's foul mood, Sebastian seemed cheery and happy to be there.

You had to agree with Ciel however, this event was pretty boring and you were going to get out of it if you could find a way. “I don't understand why I have to be here, I'm not part of your company. I don't even work for Ciel.”

“Because, the young master enjoys your company, and, Lady Elizabeth was busy today.” Sebastian kept his smile as he spoke. “Honestly, I don't see why the two of you dislike flowers so much.”

“I don't dislike flowers Sebastian, I dislike wasting my time when I could be doing something much more productive. I see this entire event as a pure waste of my time. That being said, I won't be staying any longer.” Ciel waited for the carriage to make a stop and jumped off. Turning to you, he outstretched a hand. “Would you care to come with me?”

“Oh, sure, thank you.” You took Ciel's hand and stepped off the carriage. “Where are we going?”

“Back to the entrance, maybe the gift shop will prove more interesting.” He led you through row after row of exotic, fragrant flowers, trees, and bushes. You didn't even know what half of them were or that they even existed. The longer you walked, the less flowers there seemed to be. Suddenly, Ciel stopped and surveyed the area. You were in a very open area with very little foliage and no flowers at all. “We came this way, right? It doesn't look that familiar to me. There aren’t even any plants here.” He scratched the back of his head and continued to find his barrings. “This, may not be good. I have no idea where we are.”

“Y-you're joking, right? You got us lost?” A slight twinge of panic hit you right in the chest. “But, Sebastian knows where we are, right? And this is a public garden, so it should be safe. There are plenty of people here, we'll just ask someone to help us.” It wasn't until that moment that you realized there was no one around. “Why is no one here?”

“You're just now noticing that? We're doomed.” He sighed. “We should stay together. I'm sure Sebastian will come for us eventually. I'll just sit here until he does.” Ciel dropped down to the ground and rested against a very large flowering tree.

“You know, I think we may have been better off if we just stayed on the tour. At least we wouldn't have ended up lost and in the middle of nowhere.” You sat beside him and sighed.

“Don't make things worse with your complaining. As I said, Sebastian should be here soon and then we can go home.” Ciel however, was very wrong. You waited hours for Sebastian, or anyone for that matter to show up. You had exaggerated every subject you could think to talk about and now sat in silence. The chill of night was setting in and the sun was dropping from the sky at a rapid pace. There was still no sign of Sebastian. “He's doing this on purpose, I know it.”

“Why would he do that? Did you do something to upset him?” You brought your knees in close to your chest and wrapped your arms tightly around them in an attempt to keep whatever warmth you had left from leaving.

“No, but he enjoys tormenting me nonetheless.” Ciel was doing his best not to shiver. “I wonder why I put up with him at times.” His voice became very quiet and mumbled as he continued to speak. “But, he's the only family I have.”

You suddenly felt very sad for Ciel, but had no idea what to do for him. “I'm sorry Ciel.” You snuggled a bit closer to him, now understanding why he was eternally grumpy and short with people. “You know, you could always come see me if you're feeling lonesome.”

Immediately blushing and embarrassed, Ciel stuttered as he looked for a response to your kindness. “W-well then, perhaps I will sometime.” He fell silent again for what seemed like a very long time. “Thank you. It really means, a lot to me.”

Without giving it any thought first, you brought Ciel into a tight, loving hug. “It's nothing, don't even mention it.” You had managed, without even trying, made Ciel even more nervous and awkward than he was before.

Ciel's voice was high pitched and slightly agitated as he tried to escape your hug.“I wont mention it, I won't. Now please, stop that.”

“Well now young master, had I known you were having such a splendid time being lost, I would have left you out here longer.” Sebastian appeared from the darkness, a smug grin on his pale face. “Should I leave again and find you again young master?”

Though you didn't think it possible, Ciel's face became even more inflamed. “Don't be stupid Sebastian, now get her off of me already. I'm being suffocated over here.”

Sebastian gently took your hand and helped you to your feet. “Of course you are young master. Of course you are.”
