Description
I always loved the tale of The Raven. It was a challenge to draw a raven for the first time, I think he looks like a raven. After doing some research on the show, The Witches of East End, I was drawn to Wendy's emerald colored cat's eye pendant and thought it would be interesting to incorporate it somehow in the piece. The raven was done in about 5 hours with graphite. The pendant in in colored pencil as well as the ravens green eye. The green textured background was created entirely by me in photoshop. I wanted the raven to be 'framed' in an emerald marble-like matte to add some dimension to the image.
