Definitely a cute pic. Mommy's probably out hunting right now, I'd guess.
As for your scanning troubles, I scan large pieces all the time and don't have any trouble, as long as it's within 12" x 17". I have an XL scanner. ~illish

You lucky nutter, having an XL scanner! I just have a smaller contraptiona s most of my art is on the smaller side. Daddy Bot was one of my larger images and.. AAAARG! LOL!

Microtek Scanmaker 9800XL to be precise. It has a 12" x 17" window. It cost a pretty penny when I bought it too, and I've had it for several years now. The trick to scanning an image in two parts and then reassembling them is to make sure there's an overlap, then when you're recombining the pieces in Photoshop, and they're properly aligned, you apply a layer mask to the top image and using a feathered brush, blend in the edge. I used to have to do that at school since they didn't have the oversized scanners back then.

That's probably part of my problem. While I did photoshop it, The image refused to scan the same way on both halves and I didn't do a proper overlap. I may just end up going to a friend's place to use their professional/comic sized scanner.

oh i have two of those as well scanning large pictures sucks royal. the worst was the one i did of my coworkers that came in many pieces. i wanted nothing more then to throw the scanner out the window and the computer as well and blow it up.

Yaaay! I'm not the only one who says scanners create more pain than they're worth sometimes! (Most of the time mine loves me. PRINTERS, however....)

that is another horror story. And yeah i tried to put the first picture with about 50 transformers i drew which represented all my coworkers in there and had to split it in half just to get it in there. Well the second one is of my coworkers at my other job after i quit the first and they were in pieces so it looked like chop suey you should look yourself on that one.
