I have been a zelda fan since the first game and when i frist played orcarina of time i noticed something strange...HOW DID HIS CLOTHES GROW WITH HIMthis was my idea of what happend

I had a similar idea a while back (but I never actually drew it) That also explained what navi and rauru did for fun. they treated link as their child and would go shopping for him and built a crib for him and changed his diapers (he was asleep for years, it's not like he was gonna go himself) and fed him.

*snickers* You know...it makes perfect sense...becasue really, if it was the same tunic, it would just barely reach his waist...plus you gotta remeber that he's now broader in the shoulders. Gauntlets..didn't have those before, and the tights, plus the undershirt, definately not the same.
As for the ears...according to the manga Impa pierces his ear after the "Shadow Temple" which doesn't really appear to exist in the manga, he just fights his own shadow in Kakariko. It's like a "coming of age" right for the Sheikah.
Personally, I don't think Ruto would have been able to get near him, not if Nabooru had a say, if you listen to what she says after you awaken her. "If only I'd known the man you'd become..." (or something close to that)

Alright I thought about it too... I could understand if his tunic and tights were just too big in the first place then he could grow into them but his shoes fit like a glove as a kid and still fit 7 years later, and since I said glove it makes me think "wher did he get the gloves???"...

yeah... technicaly, the clothes didn't "grow" with him, but I don't think this happened either. I think it's just one of those events where everything about him changed to be as it would seven years into the future. but difference of opinion is what makes the world turn, right?
