Description I saw your visage amongst the lifeless,
Drawn to you as gravity to the Earth.
You became my perfect being, my muse,
And I never told you these pure feelings.

Is it merely lust or something more?
How can one person create this passion?

You saw through my many guises,
Uncovering someone I never knew.
I became your dutiful servant, your pet,
And you refused to take advantage of this.

Is it indifference or a want to learn more?
How can one person be so kind, so patient?

We saw each other as newborn humanity,
Questioning life together as one being.
You were my reason for living, for breathing,
And I was your raison d’Γͺtre, your strength.

Is it to be this way forever or just a passing moment?
How can two people be so much the same, yet different?

I saw you.
You saw me.
We saw the world.

No more of these questions
That my heart cannot take.
The answers are all too clear,
And I cannot accept the truth.

Great poem Tina. I haven't checked the CoF board yet so I'll just comment it here instead. I like the way you described the friendship and the devotion.
