Aaaaargh, I can't see this drawing anymore!!! >_<
Feels like there are still 1000 mistakes that need correction and adjustment, but I just DON'T want anymore. So if YOU find one of those 1000 mistakes - I'll just say: WELCOME TO THE CLUB!

It's been a while since my last drawing of Lewyn, hm?
Anyway, since the first volume of my fantasy story Terra Aluvis is going to be relased in less than two months (yay!), I thought, it would make sense to finish (for a change) a drawing of the main couple from the very beginning of my story: Sacris aaand yup - Lewyn (yes, both are guys. have a problem with that?).
It's an open secret, that the counterpart of Sacris changes later on to a certain handsome, black haired person with sweet little fangs, isn't it? But don't worry, it all makes sense.

At first I want to tell you that this picture is AWESOME. I just fell in love the first time I've seen it. But now to my critique.
I like it very much how you did the gelee someting where Sacris is coming out. The body shape as always is perfect!
Although that you made Lewyn wings so bright, they look good. Sure a bit more of shadow would be good, but now he looks more "holy". Because the brightness of his clothes and wings makes him look shiny.
I'm amazed with the amount of details you always put into your work. The hair and the armor/clothes and the wings are very detailed.
As for the wings you can try to put some more contrast into it.

Yes I agree, I'm not content with the wings neither, but I just don't have any more energy left for this piece (and I'm working on it over and over again since ONE YEAR already! ~_~). Maybe one day I'll redraw the wings. I guess it's simply the fact that I'm lacking the practice in drawing wings. And the perspective/light setting I've chosen are definitely not the easiest ones to draw

Yeah I know the progress of some pictures I've made in the past. It also nearly took me so long to made them...it was tiring. I can realy understand you! But don't feel depressed. With time you'll be better and faster.

I try not to be too depressed x_x and always keep repeating "skill comes with practice" ... "skill comes with practice" ...
I just need to think of my great problems I had just half of a year ago with anything concerning torso, lips etc. now I've become more comfortable with drawing these elements and the become better and the workflow smoother.
so if "skill comes with practice" ... I should go drawing x_x'

nope, they were definitely and absolutely 100% vanilla^^' just pure friendship with romantic elements. Lewyn was a very fragile and shy uke. you couldn't ever do anything like that to him without breaking him. he was never equal to sacris. sacris always held back so much in their friendship to be on one level with lewyn (in any way, but Lewyn always had so many complexes anyway). sacris always made himself so much smaller than he was, so they could have an happy friendship on one eye level.
just when sacris met jerome, he has grown so much, because jerome is so strong (in many ways) and was able to challenge sacris' true potential.

no, but to explain why sacris is not together with lewyn anymore, would be a major spoiler for volume 1 of my story.
just that much: lewyn leaves a big hole in sacris' soul behind. all you get to know about them and their relationship is only via flashbacks, since they irreversibly part ways in the first chapter of my story already.
would have been lewyn still around / at sacris' side, nothing of the following story wouldn't have happened (including that sacris wouldn't have ever met jerome at all).

Make what Lewyn's wearing on his legs into boots and I'd be a very very happy camper.
Lewyn however - you lose a lot of definition around his wings and his body - so much white. It's beautiful but I can see where it would be a problem - frustrating. You really probably can't sharpen it without losing something. He is beautiful but how do you give the wings dimension so they're not so flat with all that white? But its still a good picture.
