i went on a scavenger hunt today to find Jeanne d'Arc pix, and love this one! I espeically love how you cropped her hair, even if you weren't going for an acurate but more of inperprtive peice, cutting her hair short really ads to it, most artists keep her hair long forgetting she was a woman who had to fit in to the army. She did cut her hair just for that purpose. I love the coloring on her too and the cross chocker is lovely added touch!

This drawing looks very old to me now, as I was just getting back into drawing and learning to color digitally last summer... Maybe I will revisit Jeanne d'Arc to see how it comes out now...

I like the chara design. She's cute. And you have a good coloring style. I like it. Maybe you should try some deeper shadows some time, but for this one, it's good.

I like her style. I also like how powerful she appears, while she looks only like a child. The Gothic decorations in the background are lovely. Are they period correct?

I really wasn't shooting for historical exactitude, just the basic idea of Jeanne as a young girl with a will of steel and the courage to face great adversity... Even if she has to do it alone while people become convinced she is crazy...
