Description I know it looks nothing like a true Erte work, but that is what inspired this piece.

I created this piece in response to a challenge to use the "Magical Granite Shader" available at DAZ. To use the shader I would have to render with the native 3Delight engine with which I am not too proficient at. I usually render to LuxRender and haven't spent the time getting my 3Delight skills practiced. My perception with 3Delight is that everyone throws a ton of lights in the scene in order to get what they want, and that just isn't my style. I usually use one or two lights at the most when working with LuxRender.

I started by playing with the shader [www.daz3d.com/magical-granite-... . I found this carmel-like color interesting and for some reason it made me think of the base of a deco sculpture piece.
I remembered the excellent vase from the "Classic Deco" [www.daz3d.com/classic-deco] set and applied the shader to it, futzing to get the look I wanted.
Next I added a straight generic female Genesis figure, posed it, scaled it down and added the "Bismuth" material to it from the Ultimate Shader Pack [www.sharecg.com/v/27568]

I knew I wanted to show the sculpture straight on and lit predominately from the top. I also wanted the overall piece to have a cohesive color scheme so the thought of a small polished wood table in paneled parlor came to mind. The background wall is from "Baroque Grandeur" [www.daz3d.com/baroque-grandeur... , the table I don't recall but is an excellent.

For lighting I placed one distant light for fill and used a single spot directly above.

Framed it to the frame in the background wall and the result is what we see.

Overall I am very pleased with it and quite amazed at the quality of the 3Delight render. I will have to learn more about it.

I am not sure if this is a photograph or manipulation. First off, you need to explain what this is.
But it does look beautiful! The lighting makes it feel very smooth and vivid. I love the way this is presented. It is in the center of the photo, which gives it a clear feel. The textures are captured amazingly! The textures are one of the most important items. Bravo. The hues are interesting on where they are placed. The color of the stone goes very well with the wood's color.
But overall. this is a stunning piece. I hope this helps!

It clearly states that it is 3D art in the picture summary. Mistaking it for a photo just shows how good it is.
