I have to say that I'm really not a fan of this reoccurring PNG files used for spell effects. It's lazy, doesn't look very convincing and is often dull in colour (where as you'd imagine spells to be very bright indeed). PNG files like the one above just looks like green cotton candy

Perfect for warlock spells (non-linear ones of course), healing spells, and the starting of the spell casting (not the finished product).

Well what can I say, you got me! hahah. I had wondered on ocassion if those spell effects were a good solution. I'm glad to see you'd care enough to call me out on it.
