Wheeee! My part of an art trade with the fabulous *Hannah-The-Echidna !
Normally when I do a trade with someone I know what I’m basically gonna be requested to do, and it’s not a bad thing. Busty anime styled anthro girls are something that I’m really comfortable doing. It’s not that I may be good, I’m just practiced!
But never in a million years would I have guessed that Hannah would have requested this lushes piece of man meat! LOL! Damn you Snake! You are a sexy thing! (You sexy thing you.)
I’m very shaky when it comes to drawing men, and I make no secret of it, but this was such a rare opportunity for me to really try something else that I simply couldn’t pass it up! And do I feel that I succeeded in actually drawing a handsome, none girly, guy?
Why yes, yes I do.
I spent a lot of time looking at pictures of Solid Snake, though Hannah had already sent me a kick ass reference sheet, I just wanted to get a better feel for him, now I simply know that I must buy one of these MGS games! They look like so much fun! And maybe I just wanna control Snake and make him sneak around under boxes. Yes.
And I do apologize for my urban styled backgrounds, they’re just so much fun to make!
I honestly thought this was going take forever, but I'm really happy with the turn around time. All in all, maybe about 8 hours from start to finsh.

Really love the pose and the facial experssion. He is surely a really awsome character. I really like how you have work with the bg and the shine effects on his clothes, even the shandes came out really well too. I think I never have seen you draw any really realistic guy before..your really good on that

You should give MGS3 a shot.
Best one of the lot, I think, best controls, all that.
Then again, if you do play that one, then try playing any of the earlier games, you'll find yourself annoyed at the fact you get one outfit to wear.

Anyway... Your rendition of Solid is well, Solid. It looks really good, the details on his bodysuit and all, his mullet, and him being the only cool dude on the planet that sports one.

Well, you got it pretty much spot on.
Basically, Snake is like a Special Ops Solo field agent. All the help he gets is over the radio, unless he gets lucky and frees someone, or strange circumstances introduce him to someone. (Referring to MGS3 there.)

If I may, I reccomend getting MGS3 Subsistance. It has some cool stuff to get out og it, including a series of very humerous movies the creators made.

Awesome girl I love the MGS series. Snakes pretty hot for an old guy (well excluding MGS4 he looks old as dirt there) but this overall is great I can never draw his head band right without him looking all gay.

hehe i agree with hannah. its kinda hand to comment here on dA. well im talking about real comments. coz we have to scroll up and down every time. hehe well but some lucky people have photographic memory, so they can stare at the pic for some minutes and type a comment. but what do i do? well i open a notepad and i type the whole comment there while staring at the pic at the same time. that works pretty well. tho i type really slow. lol thats a problema.
now no more blah blah blah and lest comment. i guess i dont need to tell you i preffer when you draw cute gals, tho i would be an idiot if i dont comment on thie pic just coz its a guy. well actually its not just a guy.. its 'The Guy'. hehe snake is pretty cool. hes a bit cold but a pretty aweosme person. and i can see his charactersistics on the pic. you drew him amazingly well. his body, his muscles and his pose are freaking awesome. great job on his body. and you drew his suit pretty well too. uhm... *pokes his cigarette* he should stop that... well but you drew that evil thing very well, i have to admit. his face is pretty well done too. his nose and his ear are really great. and his hair is pretty well done too. i see some motion there. maybe coz the wind and the rain, wow i see some drops on his body. great job. you colored everything amazingly well as always. and the bg is pretty cool. awesome pic sweet. keep it up.
